On holiday in Grottammare
Live the charm of this beautiful liberty style village
Blue flag flying proudly over fine golden sandy beaches; clear, clean water and a shallow, gently graduated sea bed; pine groves; the restful green of the palm trees; the pink and the white of the flowering oleanders; orange trees of a mild climate; quiet walks among Art Deco villas.
Grottammare offers all this and much more. A welcoming little town rich in history and traditions, Grottamare offers visitors the opportunity to escape from city smog and to rediscover long-forgotten scents and colors.
The old quarter of the town was recently added to the list of "The most beautiful villages in Italy". A little medieval jewel, set on a leafy hill overlloking the sea, it is less than 1 km from the coastal town and can be easily reached by a short walk, or in the summer months, on a charming little train which leaves from the sea front and takes visitors up to the top of the hill.
